ALT-TAG SEO: For Beginners
STEPS: There are 3 basic things to do
1) When saving a chosen image to your computer, you want to
NAME the file with the keyword you've selected
2) Title your image with your chosen keyphrase
3) Alternate Text - Use chosen keyword for this
Chosen Image: Make Sure Your Image is Relevant
Of course, it's only sensible to use a relevant picture - if for instance you're selling an info course, you wouldn't provide a photo of a dog. So as you can see, using good sense is PART of the process.
Now, you may want to visually SEE the blogging process (like a mindmap, or a road map). Then you can get an idea of the BIG picture; this is rather important if you're a beginner to wordpress. I can suggest a few things - one is something called Bloggers road map, by Daniel Sumner.
There are some very good aids and "Wordpress for Beginners" tutorials at wordpress.org
